didn't read through all the suggestions posted, so someone may have already said this:
When in the MIXER window
you can only make edits to the banks (ABCD) for the Program of the current track you are on in the MAIN window. you should be able to select a different Program while in the MIXER window

The mixer is only for that specific track, on the squence. not the program,
Goodtimes...

yeah, i realize that, but that's dumb, you should she be able to mix everything while in there without having to go out, for example
i usually use a seperate program for my drum sounds and samples. the drum program i have kicks, snares, hats on banks a,b,c, and d is usually random percussion sounds i want. i split them on up on different banks so i can have different pitched versions of the same drum, or versions of hi-hats that loop...
then my samples will be all spread out on their own program in different banks, so i can have alot of the same sample, stretched or pitched differently, or whatever
i would like to be able to go in the mixer, live, and pan, lower, boost, things etc on different programs, but i can't, i have to escape to MAIN, switch the track to one using a diff program, then go back and do whatever
should be able to switch it right in the MIXER window

surely this is wrong - the mixer affects the pads within a program. tracks and sequences don't come into it.

man, that should be right down the bottom of the list! at least you *can* achieve what you need to... the 'main page' button is just the way the 1K operates to navigate round things.

I think if you want the same feat. as the other MPC models,.....ZONE Edit function ,I considering you all going an getting an MPC2000xl or a 4000 cause AKAI aint goin to make any changes to the 1000 ......lets face it ,ITS AN ENTRY PIECE .....Some of the same features ,powerful.. but still its for a beginer or one who like travel alot and make beats on the fly , its like with KORG did with the TRITON series try comparing a TRITON studio to a TRITON le ....... I hope you understand what I mean!!! not nockin it though!!! its ight ....Just sayin AKAI does not have any plans as far as what we speak of more features.
