If he could do something similar to this on the 2500 he'd get some nice business around here.

Yo...my name is William Noble and I'm the one who will be handling the orders for the custom woodwork on the MPC 5000s. Currently, the 5000s are the only ones we are customizing, sorry, but hopefully we'll be able to do all versions in the near future. Forat isn't even doin work on the 5000s yet, so this is your chance to be ahead of the competition. The price for the woodwork on the 5000 is gonna be $350 and you wont have to send us your MPC, so you can continue working while your order is processed. Custom letter etching/designs can also be placed in the wood for additional costs. Ill be setting up an ebay account where you can order the pieces direct. If you'd like me to email you when the ebay account is set up...or if you have any additional questions...email us with at [email protected]. If you could, include your myspace page in the email as well.

Hi William,

Just to say that that is a beautiful job you've done on that MPC5000 - pure class. I've shown it to people I know here in the UK and they are all in awe.

I am trying to picture that 5k next to a MiniMoog or Voyager - seriously droolworthy!!!

And of course, as we all know, wooden end cheeks make the sound fatter and warmer

@ William Noble_ Any relation to Reggie?

Nawbut4real...
to you and MarcusD'Tray Nice...
I've always thought that the 5k was kinda ugly, but I feel your woodwork has changed the whole vibe of that thing. Biggups!

not to be a hater but I think it looks tacky as hell. :D black wood would have been better.

Hey all. Sorry it took me so long to post back. @mjames: We arent working on any of the knobs or faders, just the side panels. There are currently two sets of panels up for auction on Ebay now under "Customized MPC 5000 Wood Panels". We will continue to make more after the ones we already have sell. If you have any questions shoot me an email.

seems economy is in the gutter but the oak prices have gone up

I think cushioned padding same as of 60mkII? in front would have been more practical and and helped blend in the panels little better. IMO
