I've searched the forums but didnt see what am about to ask you guys. Basically sometimes when im recording les say an 8 bar kick when it reloops I notice that the kick volume isnt always the same, so I was wondering if they were any ways of locking down the velocity so that no matter how hard or how soft I hit the pads its always the same volume..

_stilo_ You are a better man than me. I would have let his @ss have it  . I vote that one for the most idiotic question ever. I would have more respect and patience for someone who might ask how to turn the D@MN thing on.

I'd say the bigger problem with forums is cats asking questions before even reading the front cover of that book that came with the MPC called users manual...velocity lock indeed!

Id say that using the FULL LEVEL button - you can make sure that the pad always goes at maximum volume.

Now the only other thing I thought of is if you don't want the pad sound to be 100%. In which case I'd still have the 'FULL LEVEL' button pressed when recording. However - before recording anything I'd go into PROGRAM mode and change the levels of the pads to whatever you think neccessary. Im using JJOS - but this should be easy enough to find in AKAI os if that's what you're using.
So as an example - if you set the level of the pads to 50% and then press the FULL LEVEL button the pads should play at 50% consistently.

I don't have my mpc to hand - but reckon this should work.

Some of y'all **** frontin' saying it was a stupid question, bunch of immature dumb shits, I bet y'all were the dumb niggers in class who never raised their hand cuz y'all were scared to ask questions too. If I asked that same question to Swizz Beatz dude would of answered on the spot with some extra tips, but you low life ****** gotta laugh, keep it up!
