Do you sample from CDs?

only reason im hesitant to use cds is that somthing like 80% of what was pressed on vinyl never god a cd issue (maybe more - someone back me up here!). I assume that means youre less likely to come across obscure/rare stuff on cd, and that youre living in a smaller world.. so to speak..
