Hi all, ive got 12 beats completed on my mpc 1000 and i want to record my beats into either logic pro 8 or audacity. I know this questions been both asked and answered a thousand times and ive read each topic related to my problem and still i cannot work it out. I know im thick and i know im an idiot ive been trying to do this for about 6 months still no joy, if anyone can help me out i'll give them a free beat of there choice.
I can currently press play in logic and it starts my mpc it even syncs up when i press record but no sound is being recorded when i play it back.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, IVE READ THE MANUAL AND CONTACTED LOADS OF PEOPLE ABOUT THIS BUT STILL NO JOY.

Thanks a lot for your time

ive done that pal but still no sound is going through, i have a midi usb cable going from my mac to midi out 1 on my interface going to midi in on my mpc that is the only cable i have connected on the mpc. Im thinking maybe i need to plug another midi cable from my mpc into midi in on my interface so it will pick up the audio. Is that right, something obviously isnt connected right cable wise

if midi is not audio, and all that you have is a midi cable connected, what does that tell you? midi is midi, audio is audio. you need a pair of instrument cables to run from the mpc to the audio interface. read those articles man. you really wouldn't have needed to ask again.

thick, you need an audio interface mang, like this http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-FireWire- ... B0000TP588

you go from your line outs of your MPC with 2 quarter inch cables to the line ins (1+2) of somethin simular to the firewire 410 that i showed you in that link and you connect your midi outs and ins on it also. now your shit should work.
