iomega ZIP question

First off, I'm new to this forum -thanks in advance for any help anyone can share.
I have loaded an Iomega 100mb ZIP disc with wav.s by connecting my drive to the computer then connecting the drive to the 2K to load sounds onto the 2K. But for some reason the 2K doesn't read all of the wav.s I loaded on to the disc.
Am I doing something wrong? Should I have partioned the disc beforehand?
I have searched the internet along with this forum along with the manual and had no luck finding an answer to this question.

The answer is on this forum about a million times but if you don't have any idea that a certain format wav file is required, you might not know what to search for. So the answer is - make sure your wav files are 16bit / 44.1K Hz. Those are the only type that your MPC can handle.

thanks for the quick answer, I'll hook the drive back to the computer to check if those wav.s are all 44 and 16bit (I think some of them may be 32)

Another question: Is it possible to have seperate folders on a zip disc?
I would like to seperate different drum hits in seperate folders.

Do you have an MPC2000 Classic or an XL? The Classic doesn't have folders, only partitions. The XL has folders and also partitions, unless you're running os v.120, which removed the ability to access any partitions except the first one.

I'm using the classic 2K.
If I recorded and edited all my samples on the MPC I woulden't care about the zip drive but I prefer to record and edit my samples on the computer, collecting sounds for possible songs. So my zip drive is the go between for all the wav.s from my computer to the MPC.

As I think about it more, maybe I'll just use the zips I have to store sequences and programs, etc . And use a CD drive to load up sounds from my computer to the MPC. I also have to consider the internal drive you have on your site as an option. I'll just play around with different combinations to see what works best for me but ultimately I would like to eliminate the media museum and just use one media type.
