MPC60 knobs

I bought my 60 years ago for about 250$. It was dirty and beaten up...poor thing.

I have fixed alot of the problems (broken diskdrive etc.) and cleaned it up. But i'm still missing the volume knob and the data entry knob. I have found the pair at some sources, but would rather not pay 50$+ for two knobs. Does anybody know a good source for these ? Pref in EU.

And... i have noticed that the old s-series samplers have similar knobs. Would it be possible to use S1000 spares on my 60 ?

Yes, several other akai samplers use the same knobs. Also, if you don't care that they match, the pot shaft is a standard size. Somebody did a wooden joint for a 950 awhile back and it was tight!

I contacted Akai Pro. They didn't stock the knobs anymore and did'nt know if any other knob would fit. Thanks for the help akai

You would probably get a bit more info if you contacted Forat or VST instead of Akai...

Like sequoia said, the pot shaft is standard, so you just have to find something to fit.

The usual suspects of electronics components (Mouser, Digikey, Allied, Futurlec etc) have a selection of knobs
