BEATKANGZ wrote:God is what you make it. We are all gods if we choose to be.... Yet we are all still 1. Which is why its always best to treat others well because if we don't it's really just hurting our selves in the end. Karma.

The first 1/3 is about myth and legends... But the truth is what ever you believe. If you believe in life you will live. If you believe in death you will die. If you don't believe in anything then you are not anything. Your thoughts are you but you are everyone and everyone is you.

Thought has another Name.......

What does mpc stand for?

if god is what you make it, then why not just call whatever is in question, by it's own name?
in this case "thought."
why give something like "thought" the name of an already established mystical and spiritual entity, instead of just calling it "thought"?
doesn't that just add confusion to getting your point across?
is it for the shock value and "depth" of defining the word "god" differently than tradition?

also, i don't get the karma part. if we've agreed that truth is whatever you believe, then its agreed that there can be no universal morality. if there's no standard, then who's to decide what is considered a good deed and a bad deed. is it god? or should i say our thoughts?

if it's god, then you face a situation in which the word "god" gains meaning, because it's actually actively acting and apparently making decisions of what should be "right" and "wrong". if god has a specified meaning, then it's a little ignorant to say it's whatever one says it is.

but if it's one's thoughts, then the karma system is a complete sham, because then you have no way to measure "right" and "wrong". what's "right" for one person can be unforgivably "wrong" for the next. so then who's principles are taken into account when the reward or punishment comes?

mpc stands for alot of things, but so does everything, because we as humans add symbolism to things according to our own experience. i think we're in agreement on that. but i think it's a little more serious (as far as number or people concerned) when you speak of symbolic standards on things like god, karma, and beliefs, rather than just an amazing unstoppable piece of equipment such as the mpc

don't mean to be a dick or have a e-beef relapse haha, i just failed to see validity in what you said. maybe it was rushed. to each their own.

p.s. no disrespect, but when you say things like

it really doesn't help your point. i'd explain further, but this post has run far too long already and i probably look like an **** already

This thread is great, just keeps going and going ....now religon is get involved aswell :)

I don't think the beat thang looks that interesting... it looks like a toy and i would never buy anthing with the word "thang".

If you're really after something that has alot of features i think you're way better of with a computer and a nice controller. I use my mpc60 as my main sampler, and i don't think that it lacks many features, to each his own i guess.

im just itching to see the custom grillz for real!

ima get the glue and cardboard out and build me a custom wing and spoiler kit for the 25k, sort of like the mfc for the 2k but it will only make it more aerodynamic at faster speeds, which is a plus coz my forum cats are getting better on their mp's and they tend to freeze up from time to time, this will solve all of this nonsense.

When I refer to God I don't mean in a religious sense. Like I said God is what you make it. As for karma.... Though we are all different we are all still connected, so it's really not about right or wrong or morality more like the butterfly effect. You may or maynot see the effect of your actions but it does not mean that they have none. So even if you never see the effect of an action someone else might and since you are connected to everything in the universe... It still does effect you even it's not visible.

Yes Beat Thang will midi in and out just not 10 we figured you would rather have 256meg of ram stock.... How much can the mp5000 expand too?

If you don't buy gear cause of names then you must have not voted for Barack.... Now there's your politics.

I love my Moogerfrooger, Balilika and Udu

We'll leave the boring tech names and model numbers for the stiffs and pocket protectors.

Kangz make Thangz that Bang and Swang from ChainZ ; )

Now back to work. I gotta ad some more bang to the rotary gurder
and the flux capacitor needs tweaking. Good thing I got this swag juice it's gonna be an all nighter.

AjA

Ps. Easy resample and sample through FX.

"If you're really after something that has alot of features i think you're way better of with a computer and a nice controller"

which is why we are releasing SW and the Thang can be a USB cotroller for it and other things. Wolla best of both worlds.

PLEASE redesign your product, it looks like some Fisher Price-shit. You should offer a "plain" version with a black, neutral body and no presets, kits or loops installed. That would be a bit more attractive.

So basically just dumb down the whole concept, ethos and design to appease dickheads like yourself?? If you don't like it don't buy it. If this was page one of this thread it'd be cool, but we're now on page 75 and the whole "grillz wtf??!!!" type comments are old and boring.
