Eliminating Clicks, and Pops in Playback on MPC 1000

Im trying to extract my beats from the MPC 1000 JJ OS 3.08 version through my M-Audio Fast Track Pro Soundcard and Adobe Audition. In the recording I noticed clicks, pops and other little sporadic noises that would randomly ruin my mp3/wav version of the beat. After playing with the latency levels of the soundcard and finding no solution I was able to determine that the all the distorting noises were coming directly from the MPC itself. I felt like this could be a fairly common problem so hopefully someone can help me out! Thanks.

Are any of the samples looped (i.e. in Trim mode, not in the sequencer)?

Never heard of this problem. Do you hear the pops when listening to the beat via headphones plugged directly into the mpc?

yup. its definitely coming from the MPC. its almost like its clipping in the playback but i have even lowered the internal volume and still run into the same problems. its not only the fact that i can hear it but that its actually picking up these little glitches of noise in the recording so now its preventing me from mastering and distributing my beats!! i've worked to damn hard on these just to have some stupid little problem compromise everything....someone please help!!!

Clipping sounds distorted, glitches are sth. else. Try it with the newest version of OS1, same problem?

Yes, I presumed either that or more likely that you just used one big seq which you muted on and off, however you may still have looped samples in Trim mode to sustain them which later can cause seemingly random clicks as the looppoint might differ for each pass. That is a fact whether you audition them in the Trim screen or playing them through a program or using them in a sequence.

Let me put it this way: Are all the samples played as One shots or are any pad or INST program turned to Note on?

Also, solo a track. Are the problems still there when it´s just one sound playing or does it occur when you add a specific sound or reach a critical level of layering?

Are you using any effects? If that is the case how high have you cranked the input to the effects?

this happens after using the 'resample main out' feature in trim mode on my 25k..
all is fine until you switch the sample option to main out, then after that i noticed the clicks & pops everytime without fail.. power reset, then it's sweet again.

is this your issue?
where you sampling the main outs prior to tracking?
has anyone else experienced this or just me?

Bad RAM can cause this as well. Not sure if you tried it already but if not, remove the RAM and carefully reseat it.
