What is the MAX storage space for 2000xl

Whats good folks?

I just swiched from a MV-8000 to the MPC 2000xl and I was wondering what is the biggest SCSI hard drive that the 2000xl can read?? I've heard it was 9 GB's.....

My MV-8000 had a 40 gig hard drive so im used to having my sound library and samples all on one drive. I need to know if I can connect a SCSI hard drive with just as much storage space as the MV-8000.

9GB as long as you are running the 1.14 operating system version. 1GB if you are running 1.20.

Ok. Can someone explain daisy chaining to me then? Im going to need more storage space....

And I agree. It was a downgrade but I needed the money to buy my Fantom G8. The XL was given to me.....

SCSI allows you to connect up to 7 drives in what is called a daisy-chain. That just means you can attach cables from one drive to the next and each drive is set to its own SCSI ID number between 0 and 7. In your sampler, you select which SCSI ID number you want to save and load with.
