OK, I need a new MPC because FL Studio bores me to tears. I'm a big crate digger, so I really could care less about MIDI functionality. Do I really need Chop Shop with MPC Pad 187 and the audio editor that comes with my laptop? What would you get as a first ever hardware sampler, on top of being my first MP. If it helps any, I'm really looking for that gritty, mid-90's RZA sound.

Lol I got 36 Chambers, but the cd is scratched up pretty badly. I'll look into the EPS, also. But really, what would be a good MPC to use in unison with a computer?

A used one...hell no, most of the time it isnt worth it. Do a search on how many people here copped MPC's on ebay that were "mint" or had "light blemishes" then showed up beat to hell...just stack up and cop new.

OK, I saw a store selling a fully maxed out 2500 for its guitar center retail price. I gotta stack up and put my hours in at my 9 to. That CD burner is a nice addition (even if my laptop can burn CDs). The 2500 looks like it could be my workhorse. I tried to make a drumkit with FL Studio but didn't have the patience to do all the mouse clicking to freak the sounds. With this MP, I might make another one. I might even buy a 500 later for traveling. Thanks guys, it's pretty clear what the best choice is.
