Hearing The Audio In

On my MPC I can only hear via the headphones what comes in the 'audio in' sockets when I am recording a sample
otherwise I can't.
Is there a setting I can change so that I can hear this in additional to the samples on the MPC?

Is the outs connected to an amp and speaker. The outs and phones share the same connection so I don't think the problem is the MPC. Check your cables and check your monitors.

Nope, the current OS doesn't offer input thru-- only in Record mode. But, check this out-- When the 500 is turned off, the inputs go directly to the outputs. Bugged out.
