Hi all,
Signed up here because ive been trying and trying to get this to work with my setup but to no avail.
Basicly I want to use my MPC 500 to trigger drum hits and loops (clips) within Ableton Live 7. I have no problems syncing the transport controls (thanks to the handy guide on the Akai site) but im encountering odd problems with my MIDI notes.
Basicly I have gone through the default assign mode countless times, adjusting all the note numbers manually. I want it to be able to play note C1 when I hit pad A1, Csharp1 when I hit A2, D1 when i hit A3 etc etc through 4 octaves essentially. I have assigned these notes within my own program within the MPC, as well as trying it through the MIDI/Sync section of the options as well but they do not come out as the right values in Ableton.
Although pad A1 is set to C1 in every section i can find on my MPC, A1 comes out as Csharp1, A2 comes out as C1 and A3 comes out as Fsharp1. I cannot seem to work out how and why this is happening, any help would be massively appriciated as ive been tearing my hair out over this.
My end plan (for those who are aware of Lives looping layout) is to have Banks A/B pads 1 - 12 triggering clips in the session view and Banks C/D pads 1 - 12 controller individual drums within Impulse (one of abletons samplers) if my dream is possible.
Cheers in advance for anyone who can help.
