Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

with a loop chopped into 1/8 or 1/16 notes, use timing correct, then in step mode press open window change to note value =100%tc
Change the voice to 'Note off" for all your pads in params screen and cool! they will all go for the perfect length with no overlap!
This is just a simple way of using note off because it automatically has the correct note length

But then, what if your chops are at different lengths?

well i guess then you're completely f*cked.
Haha.. no but really in that case i would use step edit to change the note lengths so there was a perfect overlap
