I use the Addonics products in some of the stuff I sell and I have found them to be extremely picky about which card brands they will and will not work with. And if you have the wrong brand, it's what you are getting - like the drive doesn't exist at all.
SanDisk CF cards work every time, no problems. Get yourself a 1 or 2GB SanDisk CF card and your problems will disappear.
