Really Nice MPC stand

That sounds sturdy enough! I just don't think a traditional snare stand like this would work very well:

I just got a griffin elevator stand. It vibrates when i hit the pads but i can minimise it a lot it by pushing the mpc towards the back legs. Gives it more support anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can put something heavy on the lower part to make it real stable. Maybe like a brick

Granted I have a 2500 and not a 1000..
that stand the OP showed looks cool.. but kinda flimsy as mentioned.

I have one of these which is like the Quick Lock that jbr showed and the same one musikmachine showed.

its awesome.. when setup correctly and tight, there is no bounce or wobble.
HOWEVER.. When I want the mpc on my desk, sometimes I will put in on a pair of Auralex MoPads.
I used them once when they were out from under my speakers when I was moving stuff around, and I didnt want the mpc to scratch my desk surface..
believe it or not they work GREAT. and for what stands for mpc's cost, if you wanna keep your mpc on your desk but have it on something, mopads work great.. I think I have seen someone else here to that too.

mo'pads wouldn't be a bad option if you want to go that route, considering they're about the same price as any other stand you'd buy (if not cheaper)

sh1t.. mo pads are definitely cheaper.
those on stage and quick lock stands are 90 bucks or more for one, and mo pads are like 30 bucks or so.

of course one is completely different from the other..
if you need a stand on wheels, I can personally recommend the mix 400 on stage stand as I have it..

But for on the desk, the mo pads are dope.
My 2500 still has the black rubber feet that came on it, but it still has a little wobble to it on my desk alone.
The mopads kill that dead, and since they are foam, they also absorb all the force from hitting the pads too.

Just saw this. It is the aluminium arms that are bit springy, as in when you hit the pad it vibrates. I planned to put supports in but i've moved my setup around and now have the mpc on a desk next to me. The mpc really need a solid base so you can whack those pads!

Yeah they are good for the price. I've ended up using the extra pads with my monitors but i think i'll get another set for the mpc then i can set to set it how i want.

That was my thinking when i first tried them. I was looking around for another stand but yeah i think the mopads will do it. I got mine on ebay. You can make an offer so i got them for a bit less than retail.
