Help with the mpc500

I have just bought the mpc500 and it was all working fine...but now it seems its all out of whack..the timing sounds all wrong..even when i have it on timing correct...also when i take the timing correct of it should record exactly as i play the pads shouldnt it? And its not!!! this is driving me crazy!!! can anyone help me?

It is only 96ppq which isn't amazing. You might try doubling your tempo and record at half speed, that would get you 192ppq which might help out your timing a lot.

The other thing to consider is maybe your samples need to be trimmed at the start properly.
