4000 to 1000

What's good peoples, I made the switch from the 4000 to the 1000 w/JJOS and I ain't mad at all! 1000% true story. The only thing I kind of miss is that big screen but that's it. A lot of people that came by my studio asked me tons of questions on why I switched. I tell'em it's not the car, it's the driver. I'm NICE so no matter what I'm on I'm gonna make dope beats. Peace

Does posting this truly make you feel better about the switch? are you tryna convince us or yourself?


by the way i <3 the mpc1000...but id definitely upgrade to one of the larger ones if i had the money...i can get a new 2500 at a sexy price though...just need to sell more trees.

I feel ya & I can see that you got the S6k if you needed more sampling juice But I would've kept the 4k if for no more reason to midi control that nice array of modules your rockin. The 1k's two midi outs are wimpy wimpy...

an year ago i sold my 4k because i was going totally software (ableton suite,logic, max\msp).
this week i bought a 1k, jjos2xl.

totally happy being back in the mpc realm, i was missin' it :D

anyway, they are totally different machines and both with great power.i used to do entire 1hour and a half livesets with only the 4k.

i don't know if the 1k will allow me so because of the reduced polyphony, but surely it is a killer live machine!

the new quantized sequence jump feature is the HOLY GRAIL of mpc live setters! and many other features.....long live the mpc headz!
