I've tried it both ways but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

proper setting of the timecode should be all you need

sometimes you may need to give it a little 4 bar preroll to give both machines time to start on time as well

I don't know, cause everything worked fine on the other beta versions except 1.51t and this on 1.52c. I guess for now I'll use 1.51w.
