I think he was referring to the old-school 90's era and prior cash registers that actually had real "buttons." Yeah, you know, the cash registers that were actually "cash registers" (or oversized calculators with a money drawer) and not full blown "computers" like what you see today. It's crazy how computers have taken over. Hahahaha

Anyhow, I agree. The MPC4K looks like a "beat machine" to me. It just screams "COME ON, PLAY ME AND DROP A NEW TRACK!!!!!" when you stare at it for a minute.

I agree...it was the first mpc I had ever used...so...it wasn't too difficult to turn it on and get it going.

once i figured out how to load the sounds I was good lol.

Why don't go for the 5000? And it will probably hold its price for many more years to come..

Real talk, I owned a XL few years back. I just got a 4000 and used the manual once no lie!!! I asked HAZE a 2-3 questions on shortcuts and thats it. The dedicated buttons make sooooooooo much more sence making it all pretty much self explained. Once i got the pages up I knew what was what.

Learn the gear YOU wanna learn because YOU wanna learn it and if/when it benefits
somethingYOU want/need, not becase of some outside source. MPC 3000 hasn't been supported in decades,SO, why are people stumbling over each other to get one, hmm.

Again, new technology doesn't equal smarter or better music. New technology means other possiblities, IF, you choose to use them or not is on you, you don't HAVE to. Not everyone WANTS to or NEEDS to use newer gear, most are content with their current gear and have mastered it to a point where they are comfortable and doing just fine. So your smarter theory is shot to hell by the shotgun of reality playa, what now?

yeah well hits.. what does that actually mean. The guy has skill and talent... too bad he uses it to make sh!t that sounds wack. (keep in mind that is just an opinion.. people love his stuff)

The point is, the machines work well and they can still be used to make hip hop today the way they were used back when the mpc's first came out.... maybe the 6000 will come with autotune (i woundn't be surprised)
