I don't have installed 1.15 yet so I can't tell you. JJ assistant told me that these kind of bugs might not be corrected because it would cause issues on other parts of the programming.

i'm using jj OS 3.08

when i'm using pitch shift to some of my samples the mpc freezes. it says processing then stays stuck there. and i know it doesn't take 10 minutes to pitch shift a 2 second sample. Thanks

You can make a SAVE ALL project folder with instructions to produce the error, zip it, and send to JJ. Worked for me in the past.

XL 1.15 BUG: Some Footswitch Modes Don't Function

1. Attach footswitch to footswitch input 1.
2. Enter "Other Mode" and assign footswitch 1 to "REC+START" or OVERDUB+START
3. BUG: REC+START and OVERDUB+START settings have no response when the footswitch is pressed. All other footswitch settings work correctly.

Super annoying because REC+START is the most useful setting to me (I use it for recording audio tracks).

EDIT: Submitted, and JJ responded that it will be repaired for the next update.

XL 1.15 Bug: Audio Tracks Use Polyphony Even When Muted

1. Record an Audio Track (stereo) on each track, 1 through 16.
2. Mute all the Audio Tracks, tracks 1 through 16.
3. BUG: Although nothing is playing, all 32 voices of polyphony are being used. Each audio track uses the machines polyphony, even if it is muted and not playing.

NOTE: You can test this with just one Audio Track. I made the example with 16 to exaggerate how silly this bug is.

there is bug in jj os2xl 1.15 (latest one) with loading samples with longer names (longer than load screen can display).
the jj os doesnt take the whole name of the sample so the sample is duplicated...-let me explain:

on hdd i have for example
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP_01.wav
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP_02.wav
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP_03.wav

all that mpc displays is (just example - in real it may be more characters - i don't know how many of them its exactly showing):
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP
120_BEATLOOP_DEEP

but at this moment it makes no difference when listening to the sample so when i play first, second or third it sounds same because of the truncated names.

Is there any way how to repair this bug to force jj os file explorer to read filename as they are physicaly on the hdd or cf but not the truncated one?? (for example to scroll the filename or simply read its filename from the hdd and take the real sample...)

but there should be limit just for display but not for detecting files on the hdd/cf :-///

You better read the changes for the 1.15 XL update:

JJ OS 2XL (all versions)

1. Set metronome sound and accent to Samples.
2. Use Purge function in Trim mode.
3. Bug: Samples being used as metronome sounds are deleted from RAM although they are being used. Should remain in RAM during Purge, similar to Audio Takes.

(Report sent to JJ)
(scheduled to be fixed in XL 1.16)

JJ OS2 crash report

Model: MPC1000

In FL i had a midi out routed to my blofeld and was playing some notes from my ms20c controllerwhen i got this:

Illegal general instruction exception
-----------------------------------------
PC(a50071e4) SR(4000106b) TEA(00000000)
-----------------------------------------
stack dump (sp88affe48)
-----------------------------------------

Followed by lots of code. It's the first crash i've had and i think midi might have overloaded the mpc as i had a muted sequence on the mpc playing at the same time and midi out from the mpc to my blofeld as well as usb so probabl caused some sort of midi feedback loop. Anyone else had a crash like this?

I havent seen any crashes like this in a while. It's a good thing you posted that up. Makes it easier for JJ to fix.

[quote="DarkSideoftheTune"]Is this worth checking out? I don't really want to mess with my MPC but if its cool I'd try it.

You mean recreate the crash? Btw what type of drums are in the mpc sample pack on your site? Are they suitable for any type of music? I've been on the lookout for some mpc programs.

Nevermind i found the demo reel. :)
