playing live with one pad (sample) set to loop & not others

Look at youtube for "You and What Army"... the transformers/captain planet/etc... all great live use of the MPC for mixing between loops and one shot samples.

Anybody who wants to learn some MPC 1k chops should definitely check those vids out. It took me a few views to see what exactly was going on for the first one, but it is pretty clever and a good example of skill and creativity.

Yeah we all know... it's always much easier to slag on something than to provide actual useful advice that the OP could use.

Let's see if I got this right.
With this glitch you can trigger loops directly from the pad, I still haven't managed to make it work (I'm dealing with it and I'll make it), however:
- Can I trigger multiple loops (i.e. Layer loops on top of other loops)?
- Can I record the result?
- Can I record a midi or a program track while the loops are running?

Honestly the above would change the way I can use my MPC1000!

I would also like the people on this forum who have been helping me out so much since I decided to buy an MPC!

Now, here's the thing, I have been able to make the numeric button do the thing we're all talking about with the 1000, JJ OS 3 may I specify.

Out of interest. I used to have a 1000 with JJ OS 2 but it got knicked, anyway, on that one the loop function worked but would start fading out at the end of the 1st repeat, which was a bit of a pain, but a reminder i guess is better than it completely stopping.

But this is the thing : I'm playing Drum Kit, triggering the samples from my tracks and doing some live effex and LFO noises with wired boxes... so, stick in hand I have to trigger the various bits from my tracks in between a snare hit or whatever... I do not have time to hold down a pad, move curser to numeric field... seen?

If I could save that function so that it's ready to go when I load up the samples that would be killing, but i can't can I?

What a pain!!

This glitch is a whole new ballgame for the Mpc1000. At least for my investigations.
