Hey guys I am using 2000xl and my question is there a way to set all 16 pads to a mono setting so they cut each other off..I noticed that in params..that i can open window in voice overlay and mute 2 pads...but is there a way i can set up all 16 to cut each other in no order...This was real simple on my 1000 but i have not a clue on the xl...Let me know wit da feedback Thanks..

well i kinda get what your saying...but heres what im think that on my 1000 i could turn mute group to mono so i could play all 16 pads around the board in no order and it cut the next pad no matter which one it was...it looks like the 2000xl limits me to 2 mutes so its like i have to calculate which pad to pad im goin like i playn leap frog...This is not a huge deal i usually chp up my sample more put this particular project im workin on i am doin sum mad rearranging of a long loop and this was a problem still bein new to the xl..

i have an mpc500 and im just assuming that its similar,
with the mpc500 you go to Mode - Program , then you scroll until it says Mute Group
then you can set it for each pad.

what your working with is definitely different but probably has the same concept, and im banking off the assumption that if the 500 can do this than the 1000 and the 2000xl can.

Because people don't read.

And then when you answer something, it's another question RIGHT behind that one that if you show a manual page
then it can't be argued with, go to the manual, find it, review it, take action on it and learn the basics from the manual.
Learn the functions and what's NOT in the manual, see if you can creatively combine functions in the mpc in order to acheive what you want or are trying to do.

ie, there's no echo on 2k/2kxl without an EB16, BUT you can STILL make it happen by knowing the functions and capabilities of your gear, combine those features , options and functions.
