Wich Audio-Interface?

Hello everybody
Well I want to record beats from my MPC 2000 Classic to my pc and I need a Audio-Interface for that. Now my question is wich Audio Interface should I buy? (It shoudn´t cost too much) And do I need anything else like a soundcard or something?

Do some research into audio interfaces and get one that you feel has all the features u need and that fits your budget.

Well I did my research but I hoped here is someone with a Audio Interface that he could recommend.

Get one with the features ur need, your inputs, outputs, channels, etc, it's your rig is what I'm saying. Take a look at more than just the outside of the interface, get into the specs of it, what it does and if it's something that could get you where u wanna be. Only you can do that for your vision of what you want your workflow to be.

theres hundreds of interfaces with thousands of options and millions of opinions bro. research is key. I personally run pro tools on my computers. I use an Mbox 2, Digi002 and Digi003 interfaces. The Mbox I use at home for beats. The Digi's I use in the studio.

When your looking for an interface dont be swept off your feet by the lowest price. Remember this is whats going to bring your audio into the DAW so look for something decent.

Exact reason why I don't answer these type of threads, instead I try and get people to use their own brain, take initiative. It's ultimately their gear ya know. The USER has to live with it.

if your just making beats and dont need like 50 million inputs, i would check out the apogee duet with an extra midi interface to go wit it.

from what ive gatered, the duet is some of the best a/d conversion in that price range.

i own a firewire 410 and think its ok to start with (i wish i woulda upgraded by now tho, especially since the mic pre's suck for recording directly into), but i would much rather have the better conversion/ preamps that are in the duet.

my main beef with the 410 is the sound quality when im recording audio with a microphone, i think sampling from viynl off of it sounds fine.

ive also heard that MOTU has some nice interfaces that arent too expensive either.

all in all, its just research home boy.

i would stay away from mbox's, i personally know a handfull of people that have had problems with them, ie. left outputs cutting out a couple months after buying them, and on another instance a horrible buzzing noise that left my friend unable to record on it anymore.

do your research!
