Hey people,
I know I can sequence drums, etc on mpc 1000. I was wondering though if I can sequence a bassline or any other melody. Can I make a whole complete beat with a drumline, bassline and some other instruments at mps 1000 without using a keyboard. My idea is to track the whole beat in mpc1000 and then transfer it to my computer for mastering. Can I do that?
Thanks

I don't know about the 1000, but in the 2000xl there's a 16 LEVELS button that will let you do just that. Check the manual for more info.

The 1K has a 16 levels button, and it does tune, decay, velocity, & filter. SO you can do a bassline using the 16 levels. It's hot when you gotta samplethe higher u go the faster it speeds up and vice versa...just play around with it.

Yep, I'm doing that, and I have a few PGMs you can download from my site that do exactly that, if that helps. If you have multiple samples from one instrument ("multisamples") then you can lay them out so that there's less retuning needed, then they don't sound as weird...
