u dont have to guess, just count it out. it all depends on how you hear it. it could be a fast 3/4 a 6/8 a 12/8. the thing is it doesnt matter.you could technically count this in four but the one thing that makes this not a 4/4 and not feel like 4/4 is the fact that the accent is on the one and not on two and four. *(note that were talking about hip hop music though, cause in classical music the strong beats in a 4/4 time sig are one and three)

Sounds like it goes between 3/8, 4/4, and 6/4. I guess that just goes to show that you don't have to do an entire song in one time sig. You could maybe to do the verses in something common like 4/4, and then do something like 6/4 for the chorus. I think it's a cool effect when you establish a rhythm or groove for a few measures, then switch the time sig to mess with the listener

This sounds more like 12/8 to my ears. It's cool cuz it kinda sounds like it's in 4, but those hi hats come in on triplets every now and again which is kinda deceptive. It keeps the rhythm interesting

I think the easiest time sig to work with are even sigs like 2/4, 4/4, like 12/8. Imho, signatures divisible by 3 sound best when used with polyrhythms, otherwise they sound silly like a waltz or some wack sh!t. 6/4 can also sound cool, but aren't as cool as 4/4 if you do it the whole duration of the song (Solea.) Uneven time sigs like 7/8 and 9/8 seem to be used mostly in fusion and prog rock and are the most confusing. They can be pretty sick if you know what you're doing, too complex for me though. I guess the best thing you could do is to just play around with different sigs and see if you come up with something good. Definitely helps if you know a bit about music theory
