i took the tip from the newbie tips and tricks thread.. and my drums rhythm sounds so TIGHT on point... i dunno gives it more of that human feel imo... and watching play n skillz on that youtube video they also do there drums in double res.

so im kinda stuck right now... i go to bars.. SO BEFORE YOU GUYS GO IN ON ME LOL
this is a brand new concept to me...

when i go to the bars field.. and add 2 more bars with a time sig of 8/4 ... the bars last longer and it screws up the timing its like.. the first 2 bars.. are regular 1.2.3.4 counts.. and the brand new 2 bars that ive added on go all the way up to 8...

well i'd like everything to go up to an 8 count.. including the first 2 bars.. is this Possible?? IM STUCK FELLAS HELP THANKSSSSS!!!!!!!

( EDIT:: I REALIZE THERE IS A WORK AROUND.. U GOTTA MANUALLY DELETE THE BARS U DONT WANT.. IS THIS WHAT YOU GUYS ALL DO... IS THERE A WAY JUST TO 8/4 ON EVERYTHING WITHOUT HAVING TO DO THIS OR U GUYS JUST ADD 4 BARS WITH 8/4 TIME ON IT AND DELETE THE FIRST 2)

Placebo effect dude... there is no way a human can hear any timing difference w/ a resolution above 960 ppq. Test it-- Try nudging a note exactly 1 tick later at 960 ppq-- the difference is not audible.

Nothing wrong w/ using placebos though, whatever gets you hyped

I used to do it for quantization for the southern beats feel. But if you
overcome your dependance on quantization it is better to turn it off.

960 off or the 1/96 off will give you that natural swing from you. 960 ppq is what
the others are insisting is as good as you can get per quarter with a 3840 ppq over
a bar what this means that your beat will sound natural.

But if you want that southern style hi hat quantized feel you can still use
the double time with 1/8 or 1/16 and swing and shift the tracks.

It is better for a live feel to turn it off and take your time.
