Hello
After reading posts from everywhere and watching a youtube video of how to synch a fantom (my keyboard) with MPC2500 ( not mine, mine is a MPC1000), I come here because I need help with this midi nightmare.

I wanto to set up a FANTOM S, my MPC 1000 and Logic Pro having the MPC1000 as the master ( I´ve heard that you can´t have the MPC1000 as the master when using a DAW since it doesn´t have the MMC mode). I tried to set the MPC as the slave and it works ( MPC 1000 starts playing when I hit play in Logic ) but the musc is not synch ( even adjusting Logic´s bar tempo to the MPC´s one).

I can use the Virtual Instruments from Logic in my Fantom as long as I use the MIDI IN/OUT from the Fantom to the Audio Interface but, like that, MPC is out of the chain. I want to keep the MPC in the chain.

So if anybody can help me setting up FANTOM S, Logic Pro adn MPC1000 together, I woud appreciate it. Thanks and sorry for the beginner question.

Hey,
I can see that my post has not been responded by popular demand. Maybe someone can help me by giving some more details:

My studio is a MPC 1000 ( jj os 4.99 so it has MMC MTC), Logic Pro, iMac G5 and a Fantom S.
FANTOM SET UP:
Midi synch: slave MMC: Slave MIDI OUT to MPC´s midi IN 1 ; MIDI IN to MIDI OUT´s A
MPC SET UP:
Synch mode: in (off) ; Synch out: A(master); MMC: ON; Mode: MIDI TIME CODE Frame rate:25
MPC´s MIDI IN 2 to audio firewire PRESONUS interface´s MIDI OUT
MPC´s MIDI OUT B to audio´s firewire PRESONUS´S MIDI IN

LOGIC SET UP:
Following a video of how to set up LOGIC PRO 8, FANTOM G and a MPC2500 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skr9ayp8jpc) which is quite good, I did the following:
New project> create 16 isntrument tracks>create 4 audio stereo tracks>
Window>environment>scroll down clic and ports>click 2 new transformers> drag line from sum to transformer 1> drag line from transformer 1 to transformer 2 and the from this to sequencer input
Click on 1st transformerz>scroll down filter matching events> mode: status =>note: control>all: => o to 10
Do the same with the second transformer but, instead, 0 to 7
Open mixer>create groups> uncheck mute, automatization and volume> check enable recording> type MPC in the box
Click on inst1> assign channel 1B for that channel

RESULTS:
I assign a virtual instrument to Logic Instrument track on channel 1B.MPC plays notes from Logic´s virtual instruments ON CHANNEL 1B. Logic´s tempo is at 120, MPC´s is at 120 as well. Well, the first problem is that when I press recording on the MPC, Logic does not start recording so it´s not working as a master. The second problem is that when I press recording on Logic, MPC does not start playing neither. The funny thing is that when I press recording on Logic, it starts recording and registrering the metronome notes using the virtual instruments´ sounds. It does the same with notes from the MPC when another channel is assigned and this channel has a MPC drum program. Crazy, crazy…
Also:
1-Fantom internal sounds do not sound when keys are hit and MPC is on CHANNEL1-16 A.
2-Fantom can´t play virtual instruments from Logic. So I can´t use it as a midi keyboard.
I give up, I´ve tried other set ups http://www.akaipro.com/synclogic and it does not work.
I´m lost like hell. Please, help!
Thank you
P
