It seems you can only adjust one of the options (ie- attack, decay, flilter, etc.) at a time in the step mode- like whichever one is highlighted when you switch back to the main screen is the one that's changed. Can I give the same sound a 64 attack *and* 55 decay?

I'm assuming it's the same on both, but if you go to program under params (on the 2K anyways) you can set attack and decay on 1 sound.

^^ but that would affect all of the hits from that pad... he just want to change it individually....

The answer is no you cannot change attack and filter, decay etc at the same time in step edit mode!

For that you should put the same sound on several pads, and tweak each pad accordingly.

Are you sure? In Step Edit on the 60, when you go to the velocity field, you can change it to attack, decay, tuning, or something like that. I would be surprised if the 2k didn't do that too.

so lemme get this straight - you can tweak each note individually and use say filter on one, decay on the next , and attack on the third, without it affecting the global pad settings?

yup in step edit where it says tune switch that to what ever u want.

you can change the filter, attack decay AND velocity on each note in step edit.

Seriously guys, the MPC is no joke.

Im talking about a particular tick... ofcourse you can change filter attack and tuning and decay etc but I dont know about being able to change both decay, attack and filter at the same time(that particular track).... I dunno maybe I didnt notice but Ill try it tonight.

Im talking about putting simultaneuos edits on one tick in step edit mode.

For example putting decay, filter and tuning in one tick is not possible, you can only change one on every hits in step edit mode.. I just tried it now!

I just tried it, it seems that if you change one parameters, the other parameters change as well by the same amount, so if you up the tuning, attack and decay go up too. weird.
