Huh? What are talking about you still don't have the full 32mb's of ram i mean it's close and maybe unusable but you get more without 2MB ram expansion board? I guess you know more than me about MPC3000's then we'll just leave it at that then.

Did you read this thread? I took out the 2mb board before installing the 32mb.

You're right though. I'm getting .12 mb less that 32. How could I mislead the youth like that? HAHAHA!!!

What's up with some of the posts in this topic ?
Anyone that has used scsi4samples knows the deal, they offer great storage solutions for MPC users and are obviously putting in work to make it easier and easier to intsall them with out soldering.

Ok so destruktiv has worked out a mod for the 2K, give your self a big pat on the back, but why do you feel the need put down the work of some guys that have helped loads of mpc users world wide ?

At a cost of $140 or so I'm more than willing to part with that much cash to use a CF card in my 60 or 3000, I can't imagine their getting yacht club rich of if, so you sould quit the hate bruv.

Maybe not the prettiest job but damn effective.

I installed this CF-Card from SCSIforsamplers.com last week. It took about a week to arrive. I live in New Zealand, so nice speedy delivery.

I received amazing customer service from JD. He was with me, via email every step of the way. Replying with in minutes.
It wasn't the easiest of installs. We worked through a few issues.
One thing that threw me off was the speed of the drive. It mounted so quickly that at first i though it wasn't seeing the drive at all. The other thing was; the 3000 doesn't see the card if it's not formated. So even though it seemed like it wasn't working it was. I just had to format first.

The cabling is a bit cumbersome. Apparently JD's working on reducing it. That is the only issue i have.

One thing is for sure; The Card reader is very, very quick!! It's bought my 3000's storage capability up to today's standard.
It formats and partitions in literally a few seconds. And loads/saves incredibly quick!
If your used to ZIP drives like i was, you will be amazed at the difirance in speed.

Dan and Toe, thanks for the kind words. And Toe, you are right about me not getting rich off selling the SCSI. In fact, I'm so poor that when I go to KFC, I have to lick other people's fingers. I'm so poor I went to McDonald's and put a milkshake on layaway. I'm so poor I can't pay attention. Etc etc.
