IM SELLING MY MPC500 LOOKING TO UPGRADE, WHAT SHOULD I GET??

JJOS is MPC 1k/2.5k only, no 500's allowed unfortunately. Worth every penny on the 1k though, believe that.

The MPC 500 isn't that weird. Diffs between 1k and 2.5k are minimal, especially if you upgrade to JJOS.

JJOS is not available for the 500 unfortunately.

The best of the MPC's in no doubt the 4000. It is the most advanced (screw the 5000 guys, ) in the field. My friend has a couple in his studio and they ROCK! The 5000 can offer you an ugly digital sounding virtual "analog" synthesizer, but that's worth shit! Get the MPC-4000 if you want to use it in the studio, else get the 1000 for portality and with JJOS 2XL on it, it will kill!

played on a 1k today for the first time. Really nice feel to it and having some more options to play with was great. I have never touched one before i even got my 500 but i like how they correlate throughout the series , but its just sumthin bout the 500, you have to keep. Obviously cos of the portability but, i dont know if anyone else has had this, people swarm around you when your pushin at the bus stop or at college! Its a great way to get your music heard
