Hi, I'm planning to buy an mpc 1000 for diverse reasons. However, one use of it would be to trigger loops during a live performance with my band. However the sample I'll trigger have to be synced with the band, i.e. have the same tempo.

I've read a lot and I think that patch phrases is the way to go. I take my sample (for exemple a precisely cut 2 bar loop at a known tempo). Divide it in a number of chunks and make it a "patch phrase". This PP will be played following the tempo (that I can set with tap tempo just before launching the phrase). Is this OK ?

If this is ok I have one more question. WIll this sound good with non drum loops (ex: a vocal loop) if the tempo shift is moderate (say if the original tempo was 120bpm I may have to change it somewhere between 110-130bpm max) ?

Does somedy have sample of such tempo change with for a musical loop ?

will it be better with akai or JJ OS (which version) ?

I've ssen a video of the demonstration real time time stretching in JJOS2 which seems interesting and quite goode sounding but can you set the time streching amount in terms of tempo( using tap tempo for exemple) ?

Thanks in advance
