Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

yo my floppy's been actin funny keeps saying wrong disk when i try to save files...
then when i tried to turn iton today i had to put the boot disk in like 10 times b4 it started i tried again to make a new boot disk but it says wrong disk? u think the floppy's shot? can i boot off my zip?? :mrgreen:

First, after making sure your MPC is not powered on, attach the Zip drive to your MPC, power it on and then power on the MPC, in that order. Remember that you cannot attach the Zip drive when your MPC is powered on and you cannot disconnect the Zip drive when your MPC is powered on - doing either of those things will damage the MPC. Also, always power on the Zip drive first, then power on the MPC.

Next format a zip disk and use the Copy OS command to put the operating system on the Zip disk you just formatted. Power down the MPC, then the Zip drive.

Next time, power on the Zip drive, insert the Zip disk with the os in it, then power on the MPC without the boot diskette loaded. The MPC will boot from the Zip disk.
