Good afternoon fellow producers

is there a way to find out the exact bpm of a sample. Im trying to put drums to a sample that i have but it's just not meshing like i need it to..I think it's probably due to me not knowing what the original bpm is...and also is there a an automatic way to do this or do i have to figure it out manually....

Thanks in advance for all your help....

Auto BPM can be wrong sometimes. I get the best results from doing it manually. I just do a tap tempo to the sample then round up to the nearest digit. Then turn on the click and set the sample to start at beat one and go from there. Also, make sure that the sample is in 4/4 time and not 3/4. If it's 3/4 then switch the MPC to that. Bottom line is, if you can't tap tempo to a beat or sample, you should prolly rethink making beats.
peace...
