Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I'm realizing that my mpc is getting older.

MPC 2000xl with an internal zip and an external 2 gig drive

I'm finding that is saveing corupted .all files. I try to load the file from a previous session. Loading appears to be fine. As soon as i go to the main screen, any move after that I recieve an error. Pressing any button sends you into a screen that looks like it gives you coded information on the sequence and some global paramaters.

has anyone else seen this before.

Thanks for your help.

Find the closest authorized repairer would be my advice.

Is it just the ZIP or just the HD or both that you have inadvertently stored corrupted files on? Could be the storage hardware you are using (hopefully), that would be cheaper in the long run.

Also, you could try updating your Operating System, maybe (like Windows loves to do) it somehow lost part of its programming.

Just some thoughts.

Peace.

Check the zip and the hard drive first - are you using the lastest OS 1.14?

I actually reinstalled the system 1.14 and still no luck. I'm assuming that its and intermittent scsi problem.
