Issues with Pitch Shift! Can you help?

It seems that when I am using the slider pitch shift on a sample now there is a high pitch noise when ever I adjust it higher or lower than normal! I dont remember it doing this before though.. Does anyone have any solutions or suggestions?

Its all sounds that I load. Ex- Get a sound, slice it, make it a program, then when I have everything loaded to the pads I go to Mode: Slider, then adjust the pitch and there's this high pitch noise when ever I adjust it Higher or Lower.
VERY FRUSTRATING lol
