Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

MY MPC 2000 SAYING DISK READ ERROR WITH MY V1.72 BOOT DISK. ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD THIS AND RE WRITE IT? OR ANYOTHER SUGGESTIONS TO FIX THIS?THANKS

yeah i just dowloaded it transferred it to a floppy disk and i put it in my mpc and still disk read error. it doesnt make the same sound it was making when it was reading the boot disk before

should i even bother getting a new floppy installed or should i upgrade

Is this a trick question? You're asking a guy who sells upgrades for the MPC whether or not you should upgrade your MPC. My head is asploding !!!

Only you can answer that question. Do you save and load from your floppy or just boot from it? If you only boot from it, it might be cheaper for you to find another one (although I don't know what they cost). If you plan to do all your saving/loading and booting from a new drive, then it might make sense for you to upgrade to a better, more reliable storage medium that has the ability to do all those things.
