is it possible to somehow convert Reason refills into sample CDs for an MPC? I heard it's possible to convert AKAI cds to refills...but not that other way around

thanks

I have heard of it being done but there was some software that is necessary to do it.Probably an audio editor of some sort.

Some of them are actually decent. You just gotta hunt. The stock ones that come with reason are gay.

yeah...it depends on the refill, but some are really really good.

i haven't been able to find anything yet...just the software which converts the akai cds one way, reload and refill packer

so far every sound ive heard that came out of a reason refill sounds like video game synths

yo loo2004ep,
it seems like you do not get out much but as far as reason refills go check out sonic refills by folks that make sample tank, sonic synth and samples for all formats. sonic refill contains 15 volumes from electric piano to monster drums to ethnic intruments. another point, if an individual does not know how to use effects (eq, compress, delay, etc) it is not possible to get a half decent sound out of reason. it is not the car but who is driving it in reason case. with the mpc it the mpc not really who is driving it to get a half decent sound/beat out it. peace.

i forgot, you need to listen to reason thru a host app (cubase, logic, pro tool, acid, live3/4) because reason's sound engine to not up to par. i do agree to that.

I agree with Mwalker on the sound engine not being strong enough so
hears what you do you create an RV7000, Compressor, unison, spidermerger, spider cv splitter put this directly under
the interface then create your mixer and your mods this boost the sound
quality tremendously and watch out make sure you dont buss your speakers watch your levels.

You can create your own samples and import them into Reason
also there is a conversion program called RELOAD at the propellerhead
site Reasons Factory Sound Bank has some nice sounds but not the
best quality Sonic is a great idea for quality sounds I just make my
own send it to Logic doctor it up and make them clean crisp and clear.

anytime you record from your mp into pro-tools it would sound good
unless you dont know what you are doing.

I use nothing but reason. You just gotta know how to tweak the sounds. If you leave the sounds stock it probably would sound like a UNDERWATER FART FROM OUTTER SPACE(HaHaHa). Check out my soundclick.

yo loo2004ep, i love your comment about the "fart" but you also show your musically knowledge which equal zero, nothing, empty, whatever. Ricochet Rock Nice is right on point. loo2003ep, i do not remember the saying but "keep your month close and no one know that you are stupid but open it everyone knows you are". Ricochet Rock Nice is coming with knowledge and what F^ck are you bringing to the party. basically, any comments that come from you are ... (you fill in the blank, ok i will "aint worth sh*t"). back to the newbie forum for you. ok?
