Ffs. I've not had the note off issue with the 2500, but I sure as sheet have issues with my C and D channels. God damn it Akai.

Note off on all 4 channels??!!! Such an advanced feature that it takes ... 4(?) OS updates and we still aint there.

Thanks J for doing the engineering - top man.

I don't believe you..otherwise, you probably wouldn't be spending time reading these threads about new MPCs. The 2500 does everything I need it to. I would never go back to an XL (although it is a solid machine).

jahrome

i saw the title of this thread and got a little nervous because I own a proteus and the classic MPC 2000. In 4 months I'll be purchasing the 2500 and I don't want any problems. I noticed that this thread is almost a year old and you found out it's the C and D MIDI outs on the 2500. Has Akai fixed this problem with the software. Because I'm not a 2500 yet I'm unfamilar with the software versions. What version were you using at the time of your 2500 problem??

Yes, this is an old thread. Akai has fixed this problem a long time ago.

Is sysex done on the 2500 the same way it's done on the 2000xl??

I have noticed that the 2500 wont read my 2000xl sysex files
