Question about beatmaking on the mpc guide for the mpc1000

As i'm runnig jjos i was wondering how much of the beatmaking guide applies to the jjoses as i'm thinking of getting it. It looks like it doesn't matter from the chapter listing but i just wanted to check all the content is relevant to the current jjoses. I have 1 and 2. Cheers.

The book has two versions: one for the AKAI OS and one for the JJ OS (3.08). I guess you're using the JJ OS, so maybe you could look at the JJ OS version.

Thanks. I was wondering how up to date it is, how current the stuff is to the jj os and how easy it would be to apply the stuff in the beatmaker guide to the different jj oses. I just want to get the most out of my mpc and it seems like a good move to get it so i can the most out of my box. I don't want to buy it and find that only half the content is relevant or usable. I'm using jjos 2 btw. Cheers.
