Mpc screen went blank please help!

I have a fairly new mpc 1000 the black version with the 128mb ram upgrade (the akai one) and jjos free its been working great for months like that...
I was doing some chopping tonight and all of the sudden my screen when blank I did the master reboot thing and turned it on and its still blank. It still works fine I can trigger the factory drums and I even recorded something off of my deck but the screen is just blank green please help out if anyone has had this happen

Try adjusting the screen contrast (stop + jog wheel), maybe you changed it by accident.

nope I did some emergency surgery and took it apart and I can get the screen to work if the mp is tilted... its like the screen is loose or something I dont think its shorting because the screen works all I have to do is hold it up side down...
I guess Im gonna buy another screen and until then bolt it to the bottom of my computer desk so I can still sample...
