I've only went shoppin for vinyl once...

takes patience and time. i know what yu mean about the goodwill, but you only hit up like one. sometimes you've got to hit up all the goodwills in your area to find something nice.

all i do is go to thrift stores and i've found tons of lps priced at a reasonable price. thrift stores are my first choice..just hit 'em all up cause every thrift store has it's different library.

And so what if all you got was whack shit? It's the man behind the machine that turns some of the whackest joints into gold.

I just go in and buy in bulk check them out when I get home

that is actually a smart way to do it... I got around 800 records for free..... i didn't stop to go through everything right there and then. I loaded up the car and brought everything inside. then I listened to every record (it took me about 16 to 18 hours every day for 2 weeks or so)

some of my best finds have been purely by accident, coincidence and pure luck.

Take a chance on anything, dont discriminate based on personal dislikes i.e. 80's music, country music.

Yeah, no doubt, i was just curious where you would go in anywhere and buy everything.

just keep your eyes out for evictions or when people pass away and all their stuff gets tossed onto the curb. There are countless oppertunities to find records for free. OK maybe it isn't the greatest when it comes to selection but there are always those records that nobody would even concider looking at.

Its all hit or miss, right now i'm stoked on this vinyl i got for $0.50 in Boston, It's The Ray Charles Singer's and it has some ill shit on it
