SV1200,

I see your an Ensoniq man after my own heart. 8)

P.S. what's that Roland module on top of your record stacks?

Very nice! I like the asr pro u have there! U got a little oldschool settup. What keybaord is that it looks familiar?
By tr-one Wed Jul 15, 2009 4:44 am
Keyboard looks like an ASR-10, and the Roland rack looks like a DEP-3 or DEP-5.

Thanks Ya'll, yeah above the records is an ol 80's Roland DEP-3 reverb/Effects unit. Got it cheap, I sometimes use it for vocals or hook it up to mpc60. Yeah, I dunno why but Ive fallin love with Ensoniq stuff in past year. ASR10, ASR X Pro, EPS-M, and have a MR61 in the closet too that I take out once in awhile.

Wow, this is the first time I've ever seen anyone using the VGA option with an MPC3000! That's crazy, and it's an LCD too.

I like this setup by the way... No computer. Do you mix on the Mackie?

Damn wish I got one for free, good find that! It's got quite a nice 80's sound to it

Yeah, the Korg Poly 800/EX 800 have an amazing sound. Digital oscillators, but true analog filters. Used a lot in some of the early pioneering Detroit techno releases by Juan Atkins and friends. Also, if anyone's heard any old Hashim records from the 80s, he was using a Poly Six which had basically the same sound.

Also, check out this channel on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/user/korgpolyex800 There's a mod available that adds a bunch of cool stuff.

For sure.. If you don't need midi, try tracking down a Poly 6, as that one had all the knobs.

The CD on the wall was my groups first album, the vinyl framed is our first 12' Single. Released back in 05. Since then we have put out more CD's, but thats the only vinyl release we ever did.
