Help with running out of Sampling space!

Hopefully this isnt too obvious a question ...

We've been using our sampler for a couple of years now but its now got to the stage where we dont have enough room on the MPC to have all our samples loaded up for our live set.

We have a 2GB memory card and have upgraded the memory so there is a 256MB in there.

Is there any way of reducing the file size of our samples so that we can fit more on there?

Or are we doing something wrong?

if you just want to store more samples, get a bigger card or a hard drive.
then make sure that all the samples you don't need in stereo are mono. there are many clubs that don't even have a live stereo system...

1. 2GB of memory does nothing but increase storage

2. You dont have 256mb of RAM you have 128

3. Turn off autoload if its on or PURGE current unused samples.

4. Convert all samples to MONO and you will double your time depending on the current samples.
