Upgrading from version 3.1

OK so I have this MPC 3000 with version 3.1 and was wondering, what would be the best scenario for upgrading the OS and possibly replacing the floppy drive with a card reader? A side question about the card reader install discussed elsewhere, is the SCSI plug on the back still usable after this mod? And, if anyone would care to illuminate further, exactly how does the progressive OS upgrades improve the MPC3K? Thanks for chiming in..

You ask if the rear SCSI port will still work after you install a card reader drive and the answer is, if you buy our kit, yes it will.

You should consider buying the Vailixi 3.5 operating system by Mansell Labs. It adds a lot of nice and very useful features to the MPC3000 such as hybrid partitions that are visible to the Windows and Apple operating systems.

I forgot to mention I have a mac so I'd want to have compatibility if possible. THanks.. I'll look at this ..What about hardware upgrades?
