yesterday it took me 2 hours to save to cf...what the hell!!!and for some reason after editing certain sounds they disappear from the pads.i cant hear them unless i switch sequences.i have this one sequence that u cant hear any thing on track 2 or track 5.im going to see if i can make it happen again then ill upload the project.why is scrolling thru the hard drive so slow.ive formatted it.reorganized it.one folder then all others inside that one (akai recommendation)

Damn, I have ONE project that kinda does the same thing. I cant figure out what the hell it is. Whats weird is sometimes it works.

lol... This MPC does all kinds of weird $hit sometimes... you cant even keep up wit the weird stuff sometimes

too much technology in that thing, akai should have stuck with the essence. ive thought about getting a new mp but read so much about nukai's bugs ,think ill stick with what i got. good luck with that though

Lol yo my dude mine was just doin the same thing. All I wanted was to get the same sequence on the next one over to add more to it and it wouldnt play nothing. What I did for it NOT to work was go to the load screen and load the sequence. But what worked for me right now was just hitting the window button on the sequence and copying it rather than loading it. Not sure if that helps you if thats what you were even tryin to do but hope I may have helped. If not I guess this post was rather pointless lol.

this happens to me to... just when you switch tracks toggle the program to say program 001 to no.1 or off then toggle back to program 001.sometimes you may move to fast for the info to load or to fast for your screen to catch up with what your doing.hope this works for yas...

They should of put that damn synth in the MPK and Put more Time and Effort into the Basics of the 5k.

Being able to play/load samples quickly and correctly while playing a sequence and fix the basics would of been enough.

totally agree, any cheapo synth sounds 10 times better then what they included in the MPC and the basics (=play samples without any hickup whatever you are doing) should be 100% working fine.

Now we have a sequencer that does not deliver + a synth I don't even use (even my 400 euro Blofeld sounds 10 times better).

I would rather have had more sampling time to sample a good synth, then now having less sample time but a synth that vcannot be used (no automateable parameters besides cutoff, quite a joke).

any (soft)synth that gets on the market gets hundreds of patches created by enthousiastic users...we do have a thread where you can contribute new patches, check it and you will see Worldwide 5 new Patches have been created

...hey seilko, why don't you finally sell it...?

because :

1) I invested quite some money in it of which I will loose a big part if I sell it
2) the only 2 people selling it in the netherlands/belguium had to wait 2 months before they could eventuelly sell it, lowering the price so much that it s almost not worth selling it (I don't think the MPC is looked after so much in europe it seems
3) because I sincerly hope that one day AKAI will make a stable OS will give me a rock solid sequencer + Gui

it seems to me that , one you buy an MPC, you can't say anything bad about it...well I see too much people here bragging about MPC without any reference to any other hardware, I mean yes, if you never ever tried to make beats on any other thing then MPC, then MPC is the best.
Well for me, the interface (= banging pads) is really the best way to make some music...that's why I bought the MPC : the pads + sequencer should be the best. But the sequencer just let's me down...but that's 'software' and I'm still hoping they will fix the software
I'm sorry, but I also see too many people here using 3 Programs with a handful of samples to make a track ..nothing wrong with that but no, you are not really putting this MPC to any strain... if a machine can hold 192 MB, then I want to use that amount and I can't accept that it allready chokes when putting 50 MB of samples in it and trying to program some sequences.
