The software looks really basic which might suit some people, but for the money they are asking I think spending a little bit more and buying FL Studio would be a much better buy.

who really buys fl studio anyway? I mean if it's only for the free samples and stuff might as well buy a rack sampler and an interface and download fl, and u might be spending less money

as a marketing ploy u could release a trial demo of the software and let peeps make beats and upload it to the site to get everyone more involved.

As a better marketing play u could just release the damn thing...

the only reason this product has naysayers is cos the the visual styling, the name and the marketing is down to earth.

if akia came out with a unit with this spec and feature set u'd all be nutting in your draws (stop hating and congratulate dudes for putting shit together)

I don t know well the specificities of this machine, but the marketing stuffs, the name and the look is .... bling bling for me.

It's more like a Roland SP than a MPC so, more toy than pro...

wait and see, maybe we all work on this in the future, never know.

Some stupid sh.t gets thrown around in this thread.

From people saying in one breath that they don't know the specs of the things and then in the next breath saying that it is overpriced. Come on!

Look past the beats you don't like, past the styling and actually look at what it will be able to do.

Some of the features on this thing should have been implented on MPC's a long time ago.

Personally I am looking forward to it coming out and hearing reports. I am someone who likes new gear and old gear. I also like things moving forward.

This product functionality looks well thought out and up to date. The name and image might be a bit puss for some but I can bet if Madlib gets one, half this forum will be singing its praises.

who cares what it looks like... what difference does that play when it comes to how the machine sounds?

we will see if it works well. so far i agree about the looks and the name that it seems like an amature's piece of gear, however I dont need brand name fancy looking gear to give me credibility. If the sh!t runs nice and has good quality usable features that could provide me with some ideas.... then I am for it regardless what the name of the thing is and how many people diss the thing.

point is, the hardware specs seem well above par compared to recent jam boxes (samplers and all that type of hardware) ... we will see about bugs if they have them.. we will see about how the machine performs doing the basics... and then we will be able to talk sh!t.
