using computer speakers

its a cheap audio technica USB turntable. i'm just going to use this in the meantime while i get the cables i need to hook my MPC up to my stereo amp and speakers to use with my numark turntable.

Ok, I believe that one has a pre already built in. Your connection needst to start as RCA and end up as 1/4 TS (mono)

Back in my day we sampled on wax cylinders. We had to use a clay urn for the kick drum and a semi-conscious rattle snake for the hats.

What are some dope computer speakers that might fit the idea of audio monitors and don't sound like ass?

I just jammed two small weasels into the outputs of my MPC - low frequencies make them growl, high frequencies make them squeak. Better frequency response than that piece of shit Logitech thing I was rockin anyway.

Interesting! I was rocking some voles for a while but they just didn't cut it for bass. I'm now thinking of bi-wiring some badgers for the lows, an old mattress I found in my shed for the mids and bob hope's head for the top end.

Now if that aint some knowledge I dunno what is.

probly true. but the end product, im sure he takes it to a big studio to mix it right.

well you need speakers that can cover a good spectrum (40hz to 18,000hx for example) and at a good level.. and after that it's getting to know those speakers. once you are used to them and know how to tune music using those... it is possible in theory to mix music on those.

but getting a second set of well trained neutral ears doesn't always hurt.

Kinda late responding to this, I meant no harm just meant You could probably do better! Craigslist is a great place to find good speakers for low $$
