The CD on the wall was my groups first album, the vinyl framed is our first 12' Single. Released back in 05. Since then we have put out more CD's, but thats the only vinyl release we ever did.

We're the Perfect Strangers, under our own label Jim's Pool Room.

word, good lokin, thas what I say too. I'm grateful for what I have but an mpc be a great addition imo and would give me an excuse to bring the vinyl player into the lab from upstairs

Yeah homie you have more then enough to make it happen. I used to make beats on a eps16 keyboard / walkman headphones / walkman cd player and a tape player ( to sample from ) back in 1999.

keep rocking my duke!!!

I had a baby 2 months ago, so I had to give up the room I was thinking about making my little space. So I had to move what I use to my room, still have tons of vinyl I need to figure out where to put. It's time to get a bigger house....

I know, I know, I need monitors a some other stuff....

I Been thru that too homie. Gave up the room and was reduced to a corner in our master bedroom. I kept my vinyl in the garage and when ever i wanted to make a beat i would go into the garage and grap 6-7 lp's and go into out room and i make sure i made a few joints from those lp's it forced me to be creative, instead of always going thru mad records.

since then i moved and got a room just for music and my girls book collection.

we own our tenant building, but we're now looking into something bigger. I feel you on the limited lp space. Hopefully I can find a finished basement, that will be perfect.

that must have sucked, I mean I get bored when I'm on a midlle of something and want to get the records that are on the other side of my bedroom(got some near the mpc and others on the shelves across the room), so image having to go that far to get records

^^^^^Nice setup Robyung. I got that same desk. Its not quite as sturdy as i would have liked but its getting the job done. I might look into adding some kind of support beams or something. How is it holding up for you? I might just have too much equipment on mine????? Maybe time for a floor rack stand w/ wheels or something.

Haha, I got the same desk. With all that equipment you got on it, I'm surprised it's even holding. No joke, the desk is garbage, but what do you expect for $100.

Eyy Rob Yung, I see you copped an MPC. How do you like the switch? Better then FL?

yeah the workflow is much nicer.. still got some adapting to do.. everything is easier on FL as far as sampling but on the mpc i like how everything is at my fingertips
