This sounds like a newbie request but i'ma tell you homes. There is no one way to sample from CD's. You can load the song/sample/sound into your pc, edit it if you feel like it, save it as a wav file on a floppy or zip (depending on what your MPC's got), and load it as a sound in your MPC. Or, you can get an external SCSI cd drive for your MP and load sounds in that way. I bought one on ebay for $15 bonez, so they're real cheap now. Your third option is runnin an audio out from your CD Player into the In's of the MP and use the Sample function to record into the MP. As you can see, there are many ways to do it. You will discover some advantages and disadvantages of each method, but you gotta try 'em all.
